It’s a question I’ve been asked countless times since coming up with the concept of Memphis Seoul for the New York City street-festival circuit in 2018.
The answer is easy — I’m from the South, I love Korean cuisine and I wanted to do something different.
The happy result is what I like to call “uniquely familiar.” It’s like everything you’ve ever tasted before and nothing you’ve ever tasted before — all in the same bite.
Traditional soul food is delicious in its own right, of course, but you’ll quickly find when visiting Memphis Seoul that the Korean and Asian ingredients we add just blast the flavor right into the stratosphere.
